Sydney Newton was born and raised on the west coast of Florida. She graduated from the University of South Florida with her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She married her husband after graduation and moved to St. Augustine where she has lived for almost 10 years now. Mrs. Newton has two daughters, one of whom attends Veritas and the other to join in a few years. Mrs. Newton has a calling for teaching young children. She taught lower elementary age students for many years in the St. John’s County school district. Encouraging children to find the joy of learning at a young age is something she feels passionate about. When Mrs. Newton is not working, you can find her spending time with her family, soaking up the sunshine and salt water, and participating in children’s ministry activities at her local church.
She is very excited to join our Veritas community as a parent and 1st grade teacher this year!
