MRS. SHANNON MEYER

Shannon Meyer earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at Flagler College, St. Augustine. While at Flagler, she worked in many different capacities at the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind. In 2004 she and her husband moved to South Carolina, where she accepted an itinerant teaching position for the deaf and hard of hearing. There she worked with students ranging in ages from 3 to 21 in over eight different schools. Subsequently, Mrs. Meyer was instrumental in opening a public charter K-8 school, to which most of her students transferred to continue learning under her teaching. When Veritas opened in the fall of 2017, Mrs. Meyer was the kindergarten teacher for the inaugural year. She moved into the 4th grade and taught there through the end of the 2020-2021 school year. In the winter of 2020, Mrs. Meyer also took on the role of Grammar School Principal. She and her family are very involved in their church and the community. Mrs. Meyer’s three children attend Veritas.
