Susan Thames joined Veritas in August 2025. She graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a degree in Elementary Education.
Born and raised in Ontario, Canada, Susan met her husband in college and began teaching soon after graduation. She and her family lived in Houston, Texas, for 10 years, where they had their three children, followed by 10 years in Wichita, Kansas, before moving to Florida. With 15 years of teaching experience—mostly in classical education and primarily in third grade—Susan brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her classroom.
Susan enjoys bringing curriculum to life by connecting subjects and showing students how their learning relates across disciplines. She loves witnessing the wonder in her students and growing alongside them throughout the year.
In her free time, Susan enjoys watching her children play sports, reading for pleasure, and watching classic TV shows.
