Mr. Samuel Harkey joins the Veritas community with a background in classical Christian education and a passion for helping students see God through His creation. He received a classical education from kindergarten through high school and graduated from Cedarville University. Before joining Veritas, Mr. Harkey taught at Regents School of Oxford, a classical Christian school.
Mr. Harkey is passionate about the formation of the whole person through classical Christian education. He believes education should do more than simply communicate information. It should cultivate wonder, deepen students’ understanding of what is good, true, and beautiful, and ultimately shape students to become more like Christ. He hopes to encourage students to steward God’s creation, love others well, and grow in wisdom and character.
Outside the classroom, Mr. Harkey enjoys spending time outdoors, especially watching sunrises and sunsets and visiting the beach or mountains when traveling. He also enjoys poetry, reading, playing piano, working out, having deep conversations, and spending time with family and friends.
