MR. KEVIN LAY

Kevin Lay brings 20 years of teaching experience from Missouri and Florida to Veritas. With a Bachelor’s of Science in Physics and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration, he has taught various High School Physics levels, including AP Physics, International Baccalaureate Physics (IB), and honors physics. He has also helped develop STEM and engineering pilot programs, earning recognition as a finalist for Missouri’s Teacher of the Year in 2020 and winning the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow National Championship. In addition to teaching Astrophysics, Geology, Biology, and Television Production, Kevin has coached High School football, basketball, and baseball, serving as both assistant and head coach. His passion for Classical Education, which allows students to explore science while strengthening their faith, aligns with Veritas’ values. Outside the classroom, he enjoys coaching, spending time at the beach with his family, and leading students on fossil-hunting trips in Montana’s Badlands. He is married to his wonderful wife, Lisa, and is a proud father of two children, one attending university and the other attending Veritas.
