Mrs. Katrina Parker joins Veritas with a diverse background in international relations, project management, and early childhood education. She earned a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Roanoke College and a master’s degree in Comparative Political Cultures from the Institute of World Politics.
Before entering education, Mrs. Parker worked as a Project Manager in the private sector for six years. After getting married and welcoming her two sons, she spent several years at home with her family before becoming a preschool teacher. It was through that experience that she discovered her love for teaching and working with children.
Mrs. Parker is especially passionate about helping students discover patterns in language and experiencing the excitement of hearing them speak a new language for the first time. She loves seeing students make connections both inside and outside the classroom and watching those connections deepen their understanding of the world around them.
Outside of school, Mrs. Parker enjoys reading mystery novels, trying new foods, and occasionally training for and running a 5K.
