Jessica DellaVecchia is a native Floridian born in St. Petersburg and moved to north Florida at a young age. In 2004, after meeting and marrying her husband, Peter, they settled in St. Augustine to begin and raise their family. They feel very connected and rooted in the local community. Mrs. DellaVecchia first served at Veritas as a grammar-school teacher’s aide but felt strongly that God was calling her to teach. She sees that God has been preparing her for this role from a young age, as she was homeschooled through middle school in a classical environment and was taught some of the same curricula she now teaches in her third grade classroom. Her husband is also a career teacher and now works as an upper school math instructor at Veritas. Mrs. DellaVecchia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at St. Leo University, Florida, and served in the business and real estate community before the birth of her children. She made a life-changing decision to leave her business career and focus on raising her two children. During this time, she was very involved in the children’s ministry at her church, serving both in the classroom and as a curriculum team member.
