Gena Young is a Florida native who moved from South Florida to Jacksonville during middle school. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication–Print Media from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and received her K–6 Florida Teaching Certificate from the University of North Florida in 2011. Gena is married to her high school sweetheart, Justin, and they have one daughter who attends Veritas.
Gena has taught students from pre-K through third grade in private schools and has extensive experience in children’s ministry. She and her family love traveling, especially returning to Northern Ireland, where they lived for over four years. Passionate about teaching, Gena looks forward to sharing the love of Jesus with her students and helping them grow both academically and spiritually.
